MISSION

The Ghanaba Afro-Jazz Gallery is an independent contemporary Art-Gallery. Our mission is to preserve, and document the Kofi Ghanaba Archives, as well as to promote the Afro-Jazz music and culture. (the use of Indigenous African Musical Instruments in World Music.)
Our Gallery will showcase a cutting edge, and amazing contemporary art works from local and international artists. These works will be displayed in our gallery, where the public or collectors can come to view it for free. If a person is interested in a work, he or she may buy it. In addition, this amazing facility will also be a great place for cultural events such as, live plays, poetry recitals, dance concerts, parties, launches, as well as private and public lectures.

The Gallery Store
The gallery Store will contain broad range of Ghanaba merchandise such as:
CDs, Videos, and DVDs
Contemporary art work from well know and up coming artists (both local and international)
Clothing apparel
A selection of contemporary arts books
Selections of books outlining vintage and contemporary photographs of Ghanaba

Ghanaba’s biography book " I have a story to tell"
Posters, paper goods
Wood carvings and crafts
Indigenous African Musical Instruments and Carvings.

The Gallery’s Photo Studio, also known as the Yemo NuNu’s Corner, will exhibit rare vintage and contemporary story telling photos of the late Divine Drummer with special emphasis on the last 30 years of his life in Ghana. The Photo Gallery will also exhibit photos of other influential Jazz Legends and their connections to Ghanaba.
